New fundraiser to Feed Everyday Life
The Memphrémagog Food Bank unveils its new “Feed Everyday Life” fundraising campaign to finance its day-to-day activities. The initiative has been enhanced by Bitfarms and the Beaulieu Parent family, who will double donations received until January 10, 2025, to a maximum of $10,000 - $5,000 for each of the major partners. Another good reason to be generous!
Help make a difference to the lives of local people
BAM invites the community and businesses to contribute through monetary donations or by organizing their own team fundraising directly via the online platform at banquealimentaire.ca.
Every suggested contribution will have a positive impact on the community. For example:
- $90 donation - Provide a senior with prepared meals for the year
- $135 - Provide year-round bags of healthy snacks to a child attending school
- $350 donation - Provide a family of two adults and two children with a food basket for the month
- $500 donation - To support the purchase of perishable foodstuffs by BAM.
Growing need for food aid
This fundraising campaign comes at just the right time to support the organization, which last year saw a 21% increase in the number of people it helped in the 17 municipalities of the Memphrémagog MRC. Every year, the Food Bank recovers and distributes over $1,489,649 in foodstuffs, the equivalent of 403,038 meals.
