Canon Start fundraising campaign: BAM scores another success
COMMUNITY. The Départ Canon social fundraising campaign was a great success for the Memphrémagog Food Bank, reaching 242% of its initial goal of $50,000.
The generosity of contributors helped raise over $60,000 in participatory funding and $61,000 in the value of professional expertise and material resources to optimize operations.
To date, 110 children aged 0 to 5 are enrolled in the project, along with 47 siblings over 5, from 63 families in the Memphrémagog MRC.
The positive spin-offs are already being felt, according to the organizers, as a young single mother has been able to concentrate more on her studies rather than having to work overtime to pay her expenses.
Another young mother, pregnant with her third child, says she feels less stressed about her budget when she receives her food aid basket, while preparing for the arrival of her baby.
This campaign was activated on the La Ruche socio-financing platform by Cohort C-18, 22 entrepreneurs in the elite program at the École d'Entrepreneurship de Beauce.
